M D electrical registered as an Approved Contractor for fire alarm, emergency lighting, domestic and commercial electrical work, with the Electrical Contractors Association in 2003 (membership number 105900). Founded over 100 years ago, the Electrical Contractors' Association is the UK's largest and leading trade association representing electrical, electronic, installation engineering and building services companies. By having all areas of our work critically assessed on a regular basis, as well as having to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant building regulations, British Standards, inspection and testing, you can be sure that whatever the size of the contract, it will be completed in a timely and professional manner. You can also be sure you will receive all the relevant and correct certification and documentation on completion of works.

In 2004 we gained Registered Electrical Installer status with BRE Certification (certificate number ELP2929), in anticipation of the Governments' introduction of Part P of the building regulations in January 2005. Most kinds of domestic electrical works must now be notified to building control, and this can be carried out by contractors achieving Competent Person status as defined by Part P. You should always be offered the opportunity to take out an insurance-backed guarantee on the work carried out. Whether modifying or adding a circuit, on completion of works you should be issued with appropriate certification, followed within a few weeks by a certificate from building control detailing all works carried out.

In 2007 we were awarded the TrustMark , the only Government-endorsed standard in the UK's building industry. High standards must be proven and continually demonstrated, in workmanship, fair trading, technical ability, health and safety practices, customer satisfaction and many other essential areas. If a firm displays the TrustMark logo you know that an approved trade association or other certification organisation has checked the firm and found that it meets the high standards the Government has set. We will always fully explain and discuss all estimated charges or costs, estimates will always be provided free of charge, and we always encourage potential customers to seek quotes from other reputable contractors.
Our work takes us all over Ceredigion and regularly in to neighbouring counties. We will always consider working further afield - if you're not sure, it doesn't hurt to ask!
We stand by our record - we have never lost a client or customer through any fault, action or inaction of our own. As well as some of the larger organisations we work with, we also have a very extensive list of clients who regularly call on our services - from individuals letting a couple of HMO properties, to householders with older, occasionally troublesome fixed electrical installations!
